Slick En Sides

We started back and cut off trail about halfway down.  We hiked through the Yuccas enjoying the view of the valley.  After a short distance we arrived at the cave.  The entrance was rather tight but opened into a stooping passage as we descended the slope.  There was a skunk hiding in a small alcove to the left.  Luckily, he didn’t bother any of us.  We stooped and crawled back to a room with two mined piles of rock guarding a small continuation.  The cave ended at a short slope covered by a white mineral.  Crawling up the slope revealed that this section of cave was much warmer than the rest.  We took a slightly different route back out and climbed out a tighter second entrance.  We hiked all the way down the hill and cut through a drainage pipe.  A barking dog kept us from visiting the next cave.  To Ida Cave
