Kyle Lapczynski, Erin Baker

Today, Kyle, Erin, and I planned our Yellowstone and Grand Teton trip and reserved two campsites.  Then we went to the observation deck on top of the Indianapolis City Building.  I had a ton of stuff to remove from my pockets to go through the metal detector – I felt kind of dumb.  The view from up top was really nice.  We had the place all to ourselves since the attendant was in the bathroom.  We circled twice taking in the sites.  Kyle pointed out many of the buildings and I took a few pictures.  After that, we walked along the Canal.  It was a beautiful day to walk the canal.

Then we stopped by the Elbow Room but it looked like they weren’t ready for customers yet so we walked quite a bit more and ended up eating at Bazbeaux Pizza.  We had the Bazbeaux Special which consisted of Fresh basil, garlic, and sun-dried tomatoes.  After a several slices my stomach told me that the pizza wasn’t really that good for me.  After pizza, we walked back toward the car and stopped to take a picture of a monument, the war memorial building, and Chase Tower all lined up.  Of course Kyle posed among the giants.

Later, we drove back to Kyle’s place and readied ourselves for the music festival.  We watched Ben Shively (he was really good) and Daniel Lee at Connor’s Pub.  We had dinner at ? and then went to the Vogue where we watched State (a real jack-ass), Parlor Boys (songs sounded the same), and the Elms (ok music – the drummer made funny faces and the singer tried hard to act like a rock star).  When we got back home, we watched Dirty Jobs which was pretty cool.  They extracted tiles, a toilet, and a bathtub out of an old university and also did some mine work.  We went to bed around 2:00 AM.
