I got up around 10:00 today. Kyle, Erin, and I ate breakfast and eventually headed over to the Indiana State Fair. We arrived just in time to purchase our tickets and sit down for the PRCA Rodeo. We got a seat pretty high in the bleachers but I was still able to capture many close up images of the cowboys in action with Erin’s zoom lens. The Rodeo was rather entertaining. I probably won’t go to another one anytime soon though.
After the Rodeo, we walked around the fair. Kyle had earlier ask me what my favorite fair food was and I told him Apple Dumplings. After walking through the midway, seeing the butterflies, goats, and the Peru Circus animals, we started our search for Apple Dumplings. We ended up walking all the way back around to where the rodeo was held to where we originally saw them. It was pretty good. Kyle really likes Funnel Cakes. While eating his Funnel Cake, he determined the best fair food was Funnel Cake with Apple Dumplings on top.
After the fair, we went back to Kyle's and chilled out. We watched Batman Begins which was a pretty good movie and ate dinner at P F Chang’s. I had Chicken and Broccoli and two spring rolls with brown rice. The Chicken and Broccoli wasn’t as good as my previous meal there but I still enjoyed it. After dinner, we went to The Monkey Tale and saw the Envy Corps. They had a lot of potential but the sound guy had the bass way too loud and their bass player wasn’t real good. Kyle, Erin, and I provided an excellent critique on the walk back to the car.
