Brian's Adventures

Brian Killingbeck 's Adventures includes cave pictures and trip reports from Brian Killingbeck 's cave trips and adventures.  I love to travel and often take pictures of impressive landscapes and sites wherever I go.  I generally take nature, wildlife, and landscape pictures including cave photography. This site includes pictures of caves from all over the United States including, lava tubes, sea caves, solution caves, erosional caves, and even an ice cave.

I am fascinated by mountains and exposed bedrock so anytime I'm near any type of impressive rocky outcropping it's likely I'll be taking pictures.   I really like cliffs, canyons, mountains, caves, and exposed bedrock. I love the outdoors so many of my pictures are of nature.   I enjoy taking landscape pictures, animal and wildlife pictures, cave pictures, climbing and action pictures, waterfall pictures, and anything else that strikes me as being impressive.

I also write about my cave trips and adventures so many of the pages on my site include trip reports detailing what I experienced during my trip.   The combination of trip reports and pictures allow users to not only see what I saw but to experience how I felt and what I thought.

The index pages has links to the different sections of my site.  I've described each section below.

Indiana

Indiana Cave Trips includes trip reports and pictures from Brian Killingbeck 's Indiana cave trips and adventures.   Last I checked, I've visited over 300 different Indiana caves.  The Indiana Cave Trips page currently contains either trip reports, pictures, or both for about 50 of the Indiana caves I've visited.  I live in Indiana so I've visited more caves in Indiana than any other state.  There are about 3,000 caves in Indiana.   The minimum length for an Indiana cave is 25 feet so there are many short caves.  But there are also many impressive caves and a variety of cave and passage types ranging from impressive river caves, multi-drop pit caves, 100 foot pits, and complex horizontal caves.   Indiana's three longest caves are each just over 20 miles long.  Indiana's deepest cave is about 250 feet deep, and Indiana has eight pits more than 100 feet deep.   Overall, there's a lot of interesting cave to be seen underneath Indiana.  I hope you enjoy the glimpse into the Indiana underground I've provided in Indiana Cave Trips.

Projects

Project Caving includes articles, pictures, and eventually maps of the various caving projects that Brian Killingbeck has worked on.   Currently featured are the first two large caves my friends and I mapped:  Redman Cave and Allen's Lost Cave.
