Sean: I came close to being as freaked out as I've ever been on rope on this ascent, close to as bad as the time I was rappelling in sewanee and the rope was caught higher above me. The rope was so muddy and slick my ascenders wouldn't catch! Thats effectively like having one (unreliable) point of attachment! Freaky stuff.
