Citris Wildlife Area

Driving, SR 44 east, I felt a little unhappy that all the roads on my map appeared gated so I drove south on 491 until I found the Citris Wildlife Area. My rental car risk a wet, packed-sand road to the perfect campsite, or so I thought. I set up camp and tried to read but cold air soon caused a retreat to my sleeping bag. Going to bed way too early, I tried to sleep. Later that night I woke up cold. Fuck it was cold! I donned every piece of clothing I’d brought, cranked the heat inside my rental, and pulled my summer bag on and soon found sleep.
