The Captain's Blog

Erin Baker, Kyle Lapczynski

Brian:  We're about ready to take off.  Kyle, Erin, and I are seated on an Airbus 318/319 with *Billy the Bison on the tail.  We're hoping the TVs will be free.  Everyone is very quiet including Kyle ;)  We're all eager to get underway.  In terminal, Brandon called and told us that he almost decided to fly elsewhere following a "real hot", Indy flight attendant (which we hope Brandon will write about later).  *  Billy the Bison is really Humphrey the Buffalo.

Quote:  Kyle:  "This is probably it isn't it."  Brian:  "Yup, [the runway] looks plenty long."

We're flying a 425 431 mph at 21,657 (We climbed higher than Everest eventually.)

Kyle:  We ran into our ICORE marketing teacher Rockney Walkers on the plane.  He's on his way to do some work with Microsoft in Seattle (well near it).  We are on our way to YELLOWSTONE

I thought of a jingle for vacation earlier today:

Vacation from work; Vacation from jerks; Vacation from jerks that work at work!

I also thought of another jingle for TAG.  Oh, the summers in TAG are frightful, But the caves are so delightful, And, since it's a good place to go, Get on Rope, Get on Rope,  Get on Rope!

Ok that's enough for me.

Erin:  Altitude:  39,592 feet - smooth sailing ... so far!  500 mph  We are watching the flight on TV.

Kyle:  Our flight from Denver to SLC was delayed 20 minutes waiting on some people from a plane from Philly.  We thought that there was a white poodle on the tail of our plane but it turned out to be a snow fox.  We made it safe to SLC, got our bags ( they made it too), rented a Ford Explorer, and drove around an hour to Box Elder Campground.

Note:  The Captain's Blog is a new-aged twist on the original "Captain's Log" from "The" Grand Canyon Trip (only some of which can be printed herein... someday).  This trip features almost all of the original cast except that the role of Keith is being played by Erin Baker (she's still working on her monkey impression and barefoot skiing).  Key returning characters are Brandon Stephens and Kyle Lapczynski.
