Enchanted Rock State Park

I got up at 7:30 AM and soon began my hike to the Enchanted Rock summit climbing 425’ in .6 miles. My mind fought over the rock type finally determining granite. The colorful granite contained pink, white, and black specs. Atop the summit, GPS: NAD27 303022.78 984906.45 +-9, I took in the rather nice view. The air still felt cold, I’m guessing 48 degrees. I climbed down into Echo Canyon and eventually began following the Loop Trail to the right before determining I wanted to be closer to the rock. I then bushwhacked to an unnamed trail and cut across the Turkey Pass Trail back to my car.
