Kyle: This may have been the best wrong turn of all time as our car soon become part of the Bison herd. The Bison snorted and groined. Their closeness and numbers was amazing. I was really impressed. This is what Bison in Yellowstone really means to me. We got lots of good pictures.
Erin: There were a lot of them. The experience surpassed my expectations especially since up until now we'd only see one or two here and there. (Directed at Kyle) We finally found your Bison herd. It's amazing that they got so close to the car they got without even phasing them. The little calves were cute.
Brandon: It's hard to believe I was less than 2 feet from a 2000 lb animal. They groaned, snorted, and tromped through the woods, walking across the road without fear of car or truck.
Brian: We were all thrilled to spot this traffic jam. Bison jammed the road, butted heads, and rolled in the dirt to our amazement. We crawled down the road moving only when the Bison allowed it. We all hung out the windows and took pictures. Then, we turned around and did it all again. We became part of the herd and surely amused the car behind us who gladly let us risk our rental car. I hung out the window and took pictures as I drove :)
Dinner at Lake Lodge Cafeteria
Brian: I enjoyed trout, rice, and veggies for dinner. The view was nice.
Brandon: The restaurant had a great atmosphere and nice view of the lake. I enjoyed the girl workers with their eastern European accents. I had fried chicken which wasn't like mom makes it.
Erin: The Cafeteria provided a good view in a nice building. I didn't like the food. I ate pasta with marinara sauce.
Kyle: I enjoyed my pot roast and the view was nice.
