Signal Mountain

Brandon Stephens, Erin Baker, Kyle Lapczynski

It was 36 degrees Fahrenheit when we got up this morning.  Brandon makes a commando run to the bathroom.  We ate 1/2" thick pancakes at the Flagg Ranch Lodge and met a waiter from Indiana named Brian.

Brian:  It was still cold when I got out to take my first picture by the lake.  Kyle was right.  The Tetons got better as we drove.  We ascended a narrow, winding road in the Explorer to the top of Signal Mountain.  The view was really nice except for poor lighting.  I recommend going at sunset.

Brandon:  I was very impressed by the first view.  My only disappointment was the haze.  We went on a wild moose chase to Oxbow bend.  Oxbow bend was a good stop & very picturesque.  The top of signal mountain had nice views and not so nice facilities for mother nature (the throne was not adequate).

Kyle:  I'm extremely excited to return to my favorite mountain range.  I was not let down by the wonderful views of mountains visible from the road.  Signal mountain was a very nice stop.  The summit had great view of meadows below.  The best views of the Tetons was just below the summit at the Jackson Lake Overlook.

Erin:  Everything was absolutely breathtaking.  I liked everything about it.  Oxbow bend and Signal Mountain were beautiful.

Brian:  While atop Signal Mountain, somebody (???) questioned whether the French Explorers ever stroked it to the Tetons.
