Breakfast at the Jackson Lake Lodge

Kyle:  We went to a charming little diner at the Jackson Lake Lodge.  I had the granola, fruit, yogurt, and a muffin.  It was delicious and timely.

Erin:  I ate a cheese omelet and chocolate milk.  It was descent.  The chocolate milk was good.  The building had a really nice view of the mountain from the second floor.

Brian:  I really liked the floor plan of the diner.  I had yogurt and granola which were good.  Brandon and I both noted that the staff was generally rather young.  One of the girls was apparently required to wear a beige band aid over her nose piercing.

Float Trip

Brian:  We rode in a large, white van to our put-in.  Our raft guide was named Steve.  He was an excellent entertainer and seemed quite high on life.  He told us about the river, pointed out animals, and told stories of the Patterson boys, some local rascals.  The float trip was quite peaceful and enjoyable though I think it should have been 1/2 an hour shorter.

Erin:  I thought our boatman had a lot to say.  The views of the mountains from the river were very nice.  The eagles flying overhead were breathtaking.  I did think it was a little long.  I got kind of bored toward the end of the trip.

Kyle:  It was very nice and relaxing to take this trip.  We could slowly take in the river and the mountains without having to do any work.  Our guide did an excellent job entertaining us  throughout the trip with stories about life. He navigated the boat well, positioning it so the views could be enjoyed by all.  I'm so glad to see a new animal, the bald eagle.  It started out cold, then the sun warmed us up as we progressed.  It felt wonderful.  Near the end, I was asked to superglue a quarter to a rock in the river.  The superglue was to stop the diabolical Patterson boys from obtaining the quarter.  It was well worth the $45 and I felt like the trip time was just right.
