Buffalo and Elk
Kyle: Near Norris, we saw some elk in a marshy field. Nice pictures were taken. We saw buffalo near a hot spring stream and walked out close, photographed, but kept our distance.
Brandon: Nice rack.
Brian: Elk were uneventful. Buffalo was rather fun because Kyle, Brandon, and I kept one-upping each other as we closed in on it. Kyle was the designated Agitator.
Boulder Climbing
Kyle: Exactly how I would imagine City of Rock, ID to look like. It was an all around pleasure to climb and walk atop the large boulders which provided an excellent view.
Erin: I was surprised to turn the corner and find boulders.
Brandon: Rock City. Nice pull off for some good photos. Interesting geologic area but I don't know what type of stone it is. I'm going to have to look it up.
Brian: This area consisted of large, scenic, white boulders alongside the road. We enjoyed climbing and got some good shots as the sun disappeared behind the mountain.
Mammoth Hot Springs
Kyle: Very white and pretty like a winter wonderland though non-active and disappointing.
Erin: It looked dead though pretty and interesting.
Brandon: Unless you're in the area, it's not worth the drive.
Brian: Overall, disappointing though probably worth driving by.
